Scarsman and I checked out Walker Valley ORV this week. It is located about 65 miles north of Seattle and has trails for 4x4's, quads, and dirt bikes. It has about 10 miles of trails for 4x4's, most trails are well marked and maps of the area are available.
Access to the trails seemed to be the first challenge, we were greeted with lots of closed yellow gates barring access to roads to the trails. There were bypasses setup to get around the gates, but one was not friendly for bigger rigs. After getting past the gatekeeper, we were able to start running some trails.
A couple of trails ended up being too narrow for us to run. We headed down one trail that was exceptionally muddy and rocky. I managed to get stuck about half way down. I got high centered climbing down a ledge.
Lucky for me I always bring my trusty Scarsman with me on the trails. He is always ready to pull winch line to help a friend out.
After winching me free, I managed to get stuck again on a couple of rocks. This time Scarsman used the hi lift jack to help get me over the obstacle. After he showed me how to run the trail, we searched for a spot to park and run our "other trucks".
We found a rock pit and let the "kids" play with their rc crawlers.
Walker Valley was a fun area to explore, the narrow trails and closed gates did make navigating the area a challenge, but we had a fun trip overall.
Here is a link with more info, maps, and directions to the area.
