Water Pump left me.

Hey Guys and Gals.
Has anyone ever had their Water pump go suddenly on a highway?
Mine was an A/C Delco only 5 years old. Antifreeze spewed all over.
Had to wait 2 and a half hours for a tow truck to take me 70 miles.
And the kicker was no mechanics in the area worked on Saturday
afternoon. The tow cost me 1 gran. At least my truck is parked outside
my mechanic's shop waiting until tomorrow. wishing all a happy Sunday!

Wow! Clark sorry to hear this. The water pump on my H3 has left the building several times. Once while out on business and dropped all its guts and spewed the antifreeze everywhere and it had low mileage on it.
As a side note it is actually a pretty straight forward job to replace and repair. I wish you a good week ahead.

Ouch. 20/20 hindsight might say to go with AAA's top towing option, which is about $125/year and includes a 200 mile tow and 100 mile tows. Heck, I often save a good chunk of that fee just with the AAA discount on hotel reservations.

Thanks man They just don't make durable parts like they used to. I have my fingers crossed waiting for my mechanics call and hoping for the best result.
