Aww... just 5?? That's a hard one. Ok I'm a geek and I love sci-fi! In no particular order, here goes:

1. Immortal (by Enki Bilal) - Very unusual storyline (Egyptian gods). Integrated CG/real actors. Beautiful film, great cinematography and special effects.
2. Prometheus
3. Avatar
4. Outlander (Beowulf meets Predator)
5. Appleseed & Appleseed Ex Machina - If you like Japanese anime like I do, you'll love these. Coolest fight scenes, bioroid/cyborg warriors, gundams and all that.

Honorable mentions: Star Trek (new ones), Transformers (all), Ironman (all), Matrix (all), AVP, Independence Day, Dune
