OK... I think with the black I can live with them!!!! I just need to cut up the plate in the back so I can pull it out if need be. Once again Frumaker thank you so damn much and with out you this would still be a dream and to everyone else thank your two cents on what to add and what should go!!!

Next project after the front all done is to get 2" square about 5 feet long and make a spare rack that links to the hitch receive. I use my bed to much to have a swing gate or a tire gate. The goal is the have the tire just above the tail gate. It'll look much like the picture below.

The black looks good.

I don't understand how that tire carrier benefits you vs. a swing gate. Are you going to pick up the spare and put it on the ground every time you lower the tailgate?

Here's a small update, I'm have a few of my welder soldier that are doing much of nothing some work on my winch plate. Last weekend engine temp hit 230 so I had a nice size whole cut into it and patch some holes.

I can't wait till the bumper is all done, still have a few more pieces to add.

I want to do some cooling holes on mine too. I'm just going to drill some holes next to each other. One because I don't have access to a plasma cutter, and also because I don't want to compromise the integrity too much.

The plate is pretty damn tough!!! No need to worry about cutting into it.

You guys seem to have lots of skills.
You may already know this, but I would sand blast that thing to get in all the tight spots, especially the expanded metal and prime with some really good acid etch zinc chromate, you know the green stuff and then paint. The expanded metal is notorious about rusting thru if you don't.
Thanks for letting us share in the progress of your project.
