I am prepping for my front end rebuild soon and I have already bought some of the parts. As I researched the parts I could not find 1 spot with all the part numbers together. I so thought I would try and put together a list of what I have found so far. Please add any part numbers or opinions of the manufactures parts. Some may be better than others but I have found that prices can be significantly different such as the hub assemblies, $140 a set for AM Parts to $250 each for OEM.

1. CV’s – Cardone Select 66-1417 – 3 each
2. CV axle seals – AC Delco 290-297 - 2 each
3. Inner Tie rods 16mm – Moog EV800609 – 2 each
4. Outer Tie rods 16mm – Moog ES800762 – 2 each
5. Sway bar links – AC Delco 45G20693– 2 each
6. Lower ball joints – AC Delco 45D2432 – 2 each
7. Upper control arm Left side – Dorman 521-949 – 1 each
8. Upper control arm Right side – Dorman 521-950 – 1 each
9. Lower control arm bushing front – OEM 15088365 – 2 each
10. Lower control arm bushing rear – OEM 15088366 – 2 each
11. Hub bearings – OEM 15874836 – 2 still need
12. Alpha T bars – OEM Left side 93357121 – 1 each
13. Alpha T bars – OEM Right side 93357122 – 1 each
14. Rotors and pads front & back – Power Stop K2820 – 1 kit
15. Trailduty extended bump stops - TD-BSH3 - 1 set
16. Scorpworks front axle end brackets with new bushings. - 1 set.

Timken hubs. I think they were $150/ea at rockauto.
I went with oem lower control arm bushings. There's actually 4 (2 per side)... 1 is in the front of the control arm, 1 is pressed into the frame.
I ordered those same ball joints. Amazon used to have them for $23/ea but that's no more. Paid $36/ea
I need UCAs too and I saw Moog had some for $103 or $108/ea on rockauto. Dorman should be ok too though. I saw a pair of them for $155 online but not sure about those.

Might want to look at the front diff mounts if you are going to have the halfshafts out. I recommend the PCF mounts. You will need to ship them to Dwaine and he will do the upgrades. Also would be a goof time to replace the steering rack mount if you have the front diff floating there.

Did these upgrades last year. Glad I did, the diff mount was shot.

Hi, I am up to this task pretty soon as well. I also need to get the rear suspension parts.
Where do you guys get the parts from?
I had a look at amazon and rockauto but they do not carry everything resp. do not ship overseas. Any hint would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat. I've heard good things about timken bearings so check out those hubs. UCAs are a disposable part with our trucks so any brand should last you about the same mileage I would think. I can't believe we don't have any aftermarket options for UCAs yet...

I have had no luck in trying to find the AC Delco lower ball joints. Nobody has them in stock and it would be a late May/June delivery IF the manufacture makes them, that is from the the Jegs rep I just spoke to. Has anybody used another brand? How did they hold up?

I called ACDelco too and she said that there is a current production order in so it may be a few weeks before they get distributed. There is also no other cross reference to another part that she could see so that means it is specific to the H3.

Because I bought my parts piece at a time I wish I would have paid attention to prices. I paid $230 for the tie rods and boots when a whole new steering rack cost $340 or cheaper.
The inner tie rods came with a small container of loctite, but they came out real easy. I can't remember using loctite before, has anyone else used loctite for tie rods?
