I did some checking. I have the HID headlights. Everything else looks like it's LED. They all have that LED hue.
Tracked down most of the RPO codes. Heavy duty trailering package. Rated to 11,100 pounds. Should be more than I'll ever need.

I understand GM rates the towing capabilities per SAE specs, but that tow rating just a few hundred more than my 2016 GMC is ludicrous (my is 10800). Yes, we can pull it, but the load rating of the truck will be close to maximum and will it stop?

I have an approx. 515 tongue weight and I had to install air bags to keep level. And that only allows about 1000 for me, the two dogs and the other misc. crap. For a trailer as big as they say we can pull, a 3/4 ton is almost a necessity.

I wouldn't want to try 11000 pounds either. That's why I got a tent trailer for the H3.
11k would be scary stopping if the trailer breaks went out. And I've learned. If out can break. Out will at some time.

Miss quoted... My max tow is 10800.
But did find a couple of items on my Silverado that should have been on my Hummer.

Things have come a long way since GM produced the H3s.
Too bad that the angles only work in 4wd, would like to see what they are when driving up some passes (like Teton) or on some mountain roads.
Is your backlight red or blue? My '15 Silverado it was blue, on my GMC it is red.

The inclinometer works in 2wd on mine. I just had to select it to make it available.
I think the background is more red on mine. But it has a lot of blue too. Ill have to pay more attention to it tonight.

I have it selected, but on my '16 it only shows the vehicle pitch and roll information, road wheelangle in 4WD only. I have only looked at it when in Auto mode, maybe I'll take a look in 2WD mode.
My cluster is all red (except for the center DIC display) and in the dark looks like a cat house....

Just checked, and I guess mine does work in Auto mode. Thinking that every time I tried it before I might have been level on the interstate. But today I tried it in the driveway and it does a few degrees angle. And yet, the owner's manual

I just can't remember my '15 having the red in the top four gauges, but it has been a year.

As for 140 mph? Doubt it, believe it is governed for 112 mph since the common tire for this truck is "S" speed rated for 112.

As for the thread being hijacked. John is the originator, he no longer owns the truck so guess it is ok.:giggle: So at least the OP is part of the hack.

Yeah. At least the conversation has brightened.
I think the speedometer shows 140 because it can be used on metric too. My Equinox had that option. Just haven't had the time to look for on this.

Lol... My daughter did hit the 92 mph governor on the H3 once. She though she broke it. I was in the passenger seat laughing.
You couldn't tell we were going that fast.

So dropped off the Silverado this morning to get steps pout on and fabric treated. They gave me a courtesy vehicle. Get to work and find there are no plates or temp registration in the car. Nothing.
Yeah. Felt good driving home... NOT.
