Had headliner and sun visors re-covered in material similar to OEM. Much better. Hopefully after a few days in the Georgia heat the foam will expand all the way and all the small depressions will go away. I broke the cargo bay dome light lens upon re-installation. Parts are on order :(

-Replaced the dashboard (Leatherette was peeling in several spots as well as broken mounting tabs due to age and over-torquing).
-Added missing owner's manual.

In case anyone was wondering, per the owner's manual......gasoline is on the list of UN-approved chemicals used to clean the outside of your GMT800. 😆

The Fuel Pedal Position Sensor decided it didn't want to work anymore randomly. The Tahoe went into "reduced power" mode when I was on the way back from work. Managed to limp it to a parking lot for an expedient repair lol.

Replaced headlight and turn signal housings. I "restored" them last year, but they turned yellow again. Decided to replace the entire unit this time. @Schwarttzy I am glad you're enjoying it :) and that I can provide entertainment lol. Maybe (and that's a big maybe) "The Hoe" will get paint and body some day.

Replaced driver seat switch, (GM#12450256), forward parking brake cable (GM#19305572), intermediate parking brake cable (GM#89032217),
left rear parking brake cable (GM#19111221), right rear parking brake cable (GM#19110849), and adjusted parking brake shoes + cables. Parking brake now holds weight of vehicle on a hill (in neutral or in gear) with the nose of the vehicle both up and down hill. Old cables were stretched and seat switch was in-op.

I replaced my entire parking brake setup not too long ago, and it has been a significant improvement. I highly recommend it.

-Replaced power steering pump -making noise- (GM#19420681). When cold starting the vehicle, the pump would randomly make a buzzer like sound for 2 seconds within ther first 60 seconds of run time. Odd. Similar to this
.
-Replaced power steering pump pulley (GM#19421487).
-Replaced steering gear low pressure return port stem -leaking- (GM#23251100).
-Replaced steering gear -leaking- (Edlemann #E3008) and pump to gear line o-rings.

-Replaced engine oil pan -seepage- (GM#12577396).
-Replaced engine oil pan gasket -leaking...added extra sealant around front and rear engine cover mating points- (GM#12612350).
-Replaced engine oil level sensor -PMCS- (GM#12603782).
-Replaced engine oil pickup tube -PMCS- (GM#12563961). When I replaced the old pick up tube I noticed contaminants in the intake screen. Appears to either be filter media or a piece of paper towel that somehow made it's way into the engine. Will have to keep an eye on that.
-Repaired engine oil level sensor wire harness.
-Changed engine oil (Mobil 1 FSEP 5w30 and filter (GM#12737094).
-Replaced transmission mount -PMCS- (GM#15820075).
-Tightened body mounts -PMCS-.

-Vehicle is 100% leak free now.

Wow! You've done a thing or three on the ole Tahoe! There certainly are a lot of die-hard Tahoe fans out there. Those were great yrs. Before they started putting a lot of nonsense nannies on vehicles.

Where did you get your seat cover from? Was that avail from GM? Or aftermarket material. It matches pretty well. 330k is a lot but there are guys on the GMT400 forums who have some real high mileage rigs. My GMT400 pickup is knocking on the door of 300k and hasn't had much work at all. So, with continued good maintenance, you should get a bunch more out of your Tahoe. Next thing you ought to look at is getting the roof (at least the hood) repainted. The sides look good but the clear is age-degrading on the horizontal surfaces. Normal aging and breaking down from UV / heat exposure. Swing by Maaco one of these days. See what they say. Talking price can't hurt. Ought to be something they can do quick n dirty. I'd pull the roof rails back off if you have the roof repainted (can do a more thorough job).

I re-did the roof on my H3 last summer (degraded clear). Re-did the ugly-looking roof rails with base/clear. Put in a new windshield. New glass makes it like a new truck.

Love your project! Keep the pictures coming.

That's a lot of work! Paintwork is something I have not tried my hand at aside from a brush guard (or like product). It's on my list of things to learn how to do some day. Your rig looks good after the roof rehab!

I pulled the seat cover off of a wrecked Avalanche. Put a new seat cushion in.

Thanks! It should be reliable and easy to work on for a long time. Makes a decent daily.

Installed new carpet, matching WeatherTech floor mats, wipers, and repainted the cargo bay tie down hooks. I also had the seats steam cleaned and extracted by a detail shop IOT remove old stains. Talk about a PITA....cutting holes for studs, AC vents and wire harnesses. I bought extra material to re-cover the door panel sections at a later date.

Thanks. Paint work is something which takes a fair amt of time and practice to get the hang of (years). I've been doing it since the early 80's so I've made about every mistake a guy can make (and learned from most of them). For your Tahoe, I believe you're better off going to Maaco or another local shop and having them do the hood/roof as needed and pay them them the money.

The hood on a vehicle is THE panel which HAS to look good. It's like the princess' crown. You can get away with issues on the roof ....but the hood has to look A-1. So, it's not the panel to learn on b/c more can go wrong, than can go right. Probably best to not learn on the most important panel. It really should be done in a booth. Let a shop do it and you focus on the good work you have been doing and plan to do next.

Just my opinion....

Fair enough. I will probably leave the paint and body alone on this vehicle....unless my OCD gets the better of me. Since the refurb process is nearing completion I am starting to plan for my next build. Don't want to put too much more money into the Tahoe.

I bought one from OC Auto Carpets. Overall, I am satisfied. Some of the "pre-molded" sections of the carpet I bought weren't 100% accurate but compared to what was in the truck before....huge improvement.
