I have an anti-fouler on my Alpha for about 5-6 years now, same code, same side (bank 1). Never had a problem smogging it since. Vapor cannister leak could be as simple as a bad gas cap.

I've had the Passlock light come on a few random times while driving over the past 4-5 years. at the time, was always been a bit nervous when I shut the truck off, but it never caused a non-start for me...so far...knock on wood.

I'm running the KO2's, 305/70-16. Only had them on for about 17,000 miles; no appreciable wear so far.

Charring/burning is typically a direct short somewhere. I wouldn't plug a new expensive part in until I was confident that I found that short.

Finally got around to changing out the trans fluid/filter (170,000 miles!), but the fluid looked pretty good/red, so I'm guessing that it was done prior to me buying it (at 98,000mi).

Well, got it done. Kiddie pool worked great...or so I thought, until I walked around to the other side to see a large puddle on the driveway. Turns out a lot of fluid dropped onto the transfer case skid plate, and because I had the truck up on ramps, the fluid flowed to the rear of the skid...

Any suggestion/preference on pan gasket/filter brand? ACDelco, Duralast...?

Hey guys; getting ready to drop my tranny pan and replace filter and fluid (way overdue, but...). Couple of questions: How much trans fluid should I buy? Any recommendations on gasket brand? Fluid brand? TIA.

If I remember correctly, I think that there are 2 different rods that attach to the latching mechanism; one for the outside handle, and another for the power lock motor. Open it back up, remove the rear panel, and watch the assembly closely as you operate both the handle and the lock motor.
