How is your electrical system? My rig wouldn't shift out of 2nd. Turned out to be bad electrical battery terminals; i.e. computer screwed up from lack of juice.

Sounds like something wrong w/your trans; not your CV axle.

I wouldn't put anything used in my rig like a transmission. Get it redone but with upgraded HD Sonnax parts and a new torque converter (or rebuilt one). Get an external cooler too and install a trans temp gauge. How many miles on your rig? Tow a lot?

Hmm...mine was like that until I changed the battery. Get yourself some Stinger battery terminals. Spray some battery terminal cleaner on the starter terminals. May want to check the resistance of the cable to the starter.

So if temps were fine w/the OLD engine, and the only thing you replaced was the engine and radiator, then maybe the radiator is bad. What about the temp sensor; are you using the same one from your old engine?

how do you go through all the gears if you only have a 4-position D shifter?
