$400 seems a tad bit high, but would these eventually be worth the cost after a couple of repairs?

Depends on if they cover stuff that isn't up on schwarttzy's site. Which I doubt it does. Even then, $400 is an awful lot I think. I'd be hard pressed to pay more than $100 personally.

You can get set from the distributor who handles GM service publications for $200.00; Helm Inc. And their information might be more up to date.
GM supplies and updates Helm with electronic service info and Helm has the manuals printed when needed. So conceivably, if the manuals were printed in the past year or two, they just might have some updated information not contained in a manual printed 3 or 4 years ago. Again that is possibly.
One good example would be when the original 2007 H3 service manuals were printed, they DID not have the info on the tcase fill. However the second printing did.
