Thought about that, but I think you'll be more likely to throw mud in to the snorkel with your rear tires if the mud is soup like and deep, specially if your tires stick out and inch or so, like mine do. It was because of my rear tires I got such awesome mud all over my truck sides

Ahh didn't think about that. Maybe the cyclone is best. Or ziptie one of those k&n filterware things on it. I kinda doubt you'd need either though. That's pretty high up plus you have those ribs in the intake box that would probably catch anything that made it that far. Then you have a filter lol.

You can turn it sideways toward center.

Stupid question here, doesn't turning it sideways or backwards restrict the air flow? The snorkel feeds the airbox which feeds the TB

I would think so, perhaps if you put some sort of mosquito net in the inside part of the head that might stop a big chunk of mud or reduce the force and amount of water that enters the air box, which IMO such little water wouldn't hurt since the air box has it's own little drain holes already.

If it has drain holes, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the snorkle?...

Turning it sideways prevents mud from tires flying into it. And if you moving slow direction of head doesn't affect airflow into it. Ram-air affect is only due to high speed if snorkel turned forward.

I don't think turning it backwards hurts much cause we turn them backwards to run them when it snows. I just think the ram air effect is lost.

Well we are back everything went good until the end. Adan's H2 Got Stuck So Bad That we Couldn't Recover it. All because of tryin to recover another truck that was stuck a lot worst. So tomorrow I'm heading back up there to try and recover his truck again. Hopefully some of the guys from the forum could join us and help us recover his truck.

Well we are back everything went good until the end. Adan's H2 Got Stuck So Bad That we Couldn't Recover it. All because of tryin to recover another truck that was stuck a lot worst. So tomorrow I'm heading back up there to try and recover his truck again. Hopefully some of the guys from the forum could join us and help us recover his truck.

Torres would be best to call the shot on that... We had the power to get out but the lines weren't strong enough, kept snapping. If you bring your strongest truck, and ill bring some synthetic rope I think we can do it.
