No wonder my T had been driving like a pig!
The following parts were all shot!
-Ball joint on upper control arm (replaced)
-Rear lower control arm bushing was obliterated (replaced)
-Steering rack was cracked & leaking (replaced)
-The sway bar end link bushings were destroyed (replaced)

Ended up doing to lower ball joint because it was all torn apart anyway

I am going to be broke for a while once all this gets fixed! !

Still waiting on a power steering pump that on back order as well. ... it never ends!

Cleaned my throttle body, going to have to set up a oil catch can though, getting g way too much blow by!
This is in the supercharger after the throttle body:

I broke the little plastic tab on the throttle position sensor on the side... got the connector zip tied and taped to the trotted body but who knows how long that will last for... sure hope the local shop has one in stock!!

I am thinking I might put a 30" light bar in the brush guard, has anyone tried this?

Wow its been over a year since I last updated this thread!

I have been doing a tone of maintenance and upgrading the past few weeks and still have more to go.

Lighting:
Got the fog lights back up and running after struggling with some cheap ebay HIDS

Installed some ARB 9" spot light clones in the brush guard/grill area

I bought the T with 37's... then put on some 35's when I switched to Hutchinson rims... which are 16" and as some of you know anything bigger then 35's with 16" rims is very limited... so I am now going to 17" rims and back to 37's!

Going to be dropping the xcase soon and rebuilding it with a new chain and shift fork.... and of course new fluid!

The I will be dropping the fluid in both axles this weekend...

After that I am got a few other things in the hopper to start

Yeah I almost sold it ...

I was having a hard time justifying keeping it for a while, which was exadurated when we bought a house and had all that extra stress... but now that we have been in the house for about 8 months now things have sort have settled down.

But now she's getting some love again and will soon be back in fighting shape!

I did buy a classic 4x4 that has been taking up a bunch of my time as well:

It's a 1974 early bronco with a matching numbers 302 and a c4 automatic... Gunna do the restomod thing to it over the next little while

Nice! Once I get my Bronco going we can do a vintage run... however the suspension setup I will be going with will be no where close to the 40's!

yes but the Ford set up is light years better then what I started with on the 40 - I like the radius arm set up for tire sizes up to 37s, after that it starts having issues with travel and the arm mount tends to be really, really low.... but still, point is you'd be fine as long as the tire size is reasonable .... so what tire size? are you going to cut it? it looks like that one has some rust issues (which pretty much anything built in those days, 4x4, do)... plans, we need plans

oh and I must add - when I started mine, I was going no where near where it is now, it was simply going to be some links over stock axles.... so who knows where you'll land

Given the cooling issues already present, I'll be interested to hear if that affects cooling (of course, you're in the great, white North so perhaps the balance is you can illuminate grizzly bears easier).

The cooling shouldnt be affected by those. The openings in the grille let a great amount of air in.

The problem is the H3 rad is small/has a smaller surface area when compared to GM1500 trucks for example

If anyone would know, it'd certainly be you - thanks for the info.:thumbs: I'm not ready to give up my light bar, but similar lights may find their way onto my FJ40

Yeah I am sure if I am making a trip South I will notice a temp rise from these guys.. but where I live never gets too hot, enough that I am not worried
