The 5100s will be fine. Run 5160s in front of you want but they're just extra fancy and cost more $$... I got mine from shockwarehouse as well. If you don't mind the way it nose-dives now under braking, you can skip the extended bumpstops.

Yeah i don't really notice that so I'm not to worried about that. Thx guys btw. So just shocks and an alignment and yall think this whole jerking and the pull to the right should go away?

IMO, a lot rougher with a hard bumpy ride.

Yeah so thats what I'm trying to avoid i cranked the tbar so the ride quality was a lot worse so im trying to correct that. So are there any shocks that I guess correct the ride and not be rougher? Asking a lot of questions ik lol.

Ask away. We're all here to help each other out and to get our questions answered and to answer the ones we know. IMO, the OEM adventure model shocks provide the closest to the OEM ride that I wanted to get back to. I also used the Hunner 1/2" nut trick as a spacer on the shock to "extend" the front shocks a bit.

Like plasti-dip, shocks are personal preference as well. It's a pretty decent sized purchase and not something you wanna do multiple times. Ask around, use the search bar and read through old threads. Gather info and ask questions if you have them and try and make the best decision that suits you... New shocks will definitely keep the corners better planted than blown one's. And don't overlook the ball joints and all the bushings up front. With over 100k, they are reaching the end of their lifespan.

Add a steering rack mount kit and you really feel everything. My kit replaced the drivers side bushings and the passenger bracket. It might be a little less harsh with the pcf bracket due to design but I don't mind the ride of my truck at all. The good thing is it doesn't cost anything to get under there and inspect things. Also, ask the shop that does the alignment to inspect all the front end components. If they find something, ask them to show you so they don't try and pull a fast one.

One of the reason i bought the hummer was it was such a better ride than a jeep. I'm just frustrated bc i cranked the tbar and wanted to do improvements as soon as I got the h3. It rode smoothly very smoothly before I cranked the tbar but afterwards it's not a big difference besides the jerking on small bumps which is what I want to fix. So which one will probably fix the jerking?Just focusing on the one i want to fix first. I don't really notice the whole nosediving issue. And what is this whole nut trick?

Use the search bar for the "hunner nut trick".... Hunner is another member on here who has made several good improvements for certain H3 issues.

My JK Unlimited rode great on 35's, I used the Old Man Emu kit though..

I still say shocks and alignment first then see how it reacts, maybe back the T-bars down a little and see if you like it.

So guys I have a question. If I was to get the hummer aligned because of the torsion bar and then later do the gunner nut trick after wards would I need to get it aligned again?

No. Adding the nut to the shock only involves removing the shock.

Hey I was wondering if you think when I go and get the hummer aligned if they would do that nut trick for me and possibly even crank the tbar a little more since I didn't raise it very high?

do you not have a jack? I dunno if theyd know what you were trying to tell them to do...
crank your tbars a little more if you want before the alignment. drive it around the block a fews times to dial it in.
I gotta raise mine a little and get another alignment before I get 35s next week. got lifetime alignments at firestone. well worth it.

I have a jack. I was just wondering if they could do it while they're down there. Was wondering if there are any repercussions if i was to do the hunner nut trick?

If you plan to do any moderate off roading then you might seriously wanna consider taking them off. You'll most likely damage them off road then they'll be worthless to use or sell. If not or need them for other reasons then maybe not. My daughter and girlfriend complain about having to hike themselves up into my truck. They can't quite use the gm sliders as steps. They manage though. We'll see when the 35s go next week.

I like !!

I hope to start getting rid of the chrome on mine if/when winter ever ends up here..

Gonna do one more coat then put it on. We had to ride over to lowes and pick up a can with no grille lol got a little more looks than usual. I'll put up a pic when I get it on the hummer.
