Need a quick question answered, how do you force the truck into neutral when there is no battery?

pull on the shifter boot (on the front) so it comes out of the console. There's a silver button on the passenger side, near the rear of the shifter assembly. Press it, and move the shifter into any gear but part.

seriously guys? pull the cable? you work waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too hard

Save some money and stick with the I5, bore it, stroke it, tune it, and it will still make the same power as the 5.3. Then with the money you save you can afford all the other upgrades.

LOL are you serious? Custom crank would cost more than the whole 5.3L, assuming they get the geometry right the first time.

Kick back with the criticism and do the math. Cost of all mods to install 5.3 vs cost to hot rod a 3.7. So a stroker crank maybe non-existent but did you look for one? Listen, I was throwing every possible hot rod option out there as an option to offer some help.

I wish, the alpha I bought is slower than my old I5. But thats without a tune, iridium spark plugs, cleaning the TB or Maf.

And it was covered under comprehensive (flood damage) and was not considered a crash. My insurance only went up by 8$, and thats because its a 15,000$ car vs a 21,000$ car.

The V8 in these will get up and go. I seriously doubt that the I5 was faster even with the mods.

Since when does 0-60 in a Hummer have any relevance?

It doesn't. all that matters is offroad capabilities, looks, and mpg. I'm sure the alpha with a rear locker will smoke the I5 offroad. I'm just worried that there is something wrong with it.

0-60 in 12 secs w/35s and no mods means u need a tune up. The alphas 4.10 gears really kill the pickup from idle up to lets say 30 mph. I went wheeling with an I5 in hot summer (over 110) over the sand dunes, both of us tried climbing a dune with the same head start. he managed to climb it over and over while my V8 couldn't. Couple of months earlier (winter with 75 degrees) I was smoking him all the time. What I noticed was the 0-30 was horrible in hotter weather (I have a dual e.fan setup plus my clutch fan).

As they say, the inline will beat the alpha off the block but the alpha will catch up its all in the gearing. I learned in mine you can't floor it cause it won't do anything there is a way to get it up you just gotta learn it. It's like meeting a new person

Two efans and the clutch fan? Dang that sounds like a nice setup. The 12.26 seconds was with synthetic oil, fuel system treatment, airdoc intake, and k&n dry air filter.

In all fairness im on my street shoes, 32's, but the reported factory specs say it's faster. The only real way I can see boosting low end torque is through headers and a tune.
