I will keep you updated on my first KOH trip! I am leaving tonight. I get out of class at 3 then its time to change out my leaky radiator then were heading out, hopefully by 6.
I will be out there till sunday and I plan to run some trails, not backdoor or anything extreme but some of the easier buggy trails which means tough for me and all my jeep buddies.
I know have havent done a single run since I became VP but with the drama of my front end I havent been wheeling at all. After this test of 3 days of beating the crap out of squeaky if all is well my reliability is up to do a trail run soon.

I cant wait!!!!!!

It's jeepfest 2014!!! I drove my Colorado out there. I saw 3 h2s and 1 H1. didn't see a single h3. It was a blast and I hope to go for more than one day next year. If there is ever an H4O event there, I'm gonna have to ride shotgun cause my H3 will fall apart on some of these trails.

Owl I haven't seen a single H3 so far. Lol I'm here till Sunday. I would love to do an event out here but it would be more spectating. Bull frog trail could probably be done with stockish H3s, stockish FJs have run that trail. Other then that I'm not sure. Today were running a few trails ill post up

Btw I will give a much longer report when I get back.

Bebe, who is tom wayes? His car was 321 bright orange ifs car. HOLY ****. I must say watching these ifs guys was amazing, they did great especially him. I saw him at Backdoor and chocolate thunder and his literally walked both.

Ifs is not the problem. Factory ifs is, seeing him bounce off the rev limiter and make it up Backdoor unleashing 500 hp on his first attempt was unreal. Then watching him pass up someone right after Backdoor and climbing the side of a wall to pass someone, almost rolling and pinning it to avoid the rollover then takes off was unreal. No broken halfshafts either lol. Badass ifs is coming, just need years for the market price to drop to the components

I see a pattern here.

80% of the people are in JKs TJs and Cherokees, 5% are in trucks, 10% atvs utvs and bikes and the last category is 5% of oddball ****. SAS troopers, weird things like a Subaru hatchback with solid axles and 37s and anything else you can thing of.

Percentages may be off but it is cool to be different IMO. I have stared at any one oddball rig more then all of the common rigs combined

Never mind I saw one other hummer. Off road evos solid axle swap H3

Just got done with clawhammer. The bypasses are harder then any hard line I've taken.

I winched 3 times. Only stock ifs rig up there all buggies yotas and jeeps sami's etc. most of them built too.

Me and a solid axle Chevy silverado on 38s I was with were the most bizarre rigs out there. 35in all terrains and no front locker isn't enough.

As for carnage I ripped a speed sensor in the rear when a rock got up in the wheel well. RUN YOUR SPEED SENSORS INSIDE THE FRAMERAIL!

My t case won't shift into 4hi because the abs fault so I need to disco my battery clear the code then do it with the key off or just unbolt the encoder motor and manually do it.

I broke my ebrake cable and my rock light

Also my diff skid in the front was so bent from wheeling that the lip was hanging down I backed up and ripped the skid off then front diff cover peeled open. Hammered it back on.

Pics to come

So. Add wire, splices to the things to carry along. Now on my list.

Mike

Not sure if its that easy. Abs system is very finicky. Lucky the time I lost my front sensor was boing through Big Bear Lake and not on the trail. I now carry front spares.
