My research concluded to stick with no more than a 7 clutch stack in the 3-4. The 8 and 9 clutch stacks use steels that are thinner and more prone to heat warping. Thin steels are the only way to get more clutches in there

That is correct. GM went to five clutch stacks but their high-performance max out at seven. I will post that video link as well as the GM part number mentioned earlier later today when I'm in front of the computer

Got a trans oil leak at 75mph on freeway - puked out (sorry for the word but ddn't know what other term to use) a LOT of oil before I could pull over. I got on the shoulder, popped the hood and oil all over thing from about 2/3's of the top of engine down and of course everywhere under the truck (2009 H3T 3.7). I didn't know if it was the transmission oil or engine oil at the time when I saw the blue smoke following me. I had it towed $150 - then my ex boss used his trailer and drug it home (another 60 miles - just paid for his gas). I ordered a VDO transmission pressure gauge and will install as soon as I get a new line on.

Question: what is the proper oil pressure spec for our transmission? (4L60 - E)

Thanks!
