Out with the old, in with the new. Since dealing with Wounded Warrior Project was no longer possible, I joined up with two new organizations that help and support the troops. The first being the Green Beret Foundation. They are just down from where I live and do a lot to help the SF guys down at Bragg. The other is the US Veterans Corps. They are a small group, but make a huge impact. They are very hands on, and do a ton of stuff for the vets. They have done a few houses for vets that needed them. Some have even been featured on Extreme House Makeover. These guys a literally in the next town over. I will be working with them quite a bit. Great group of guys.

New sticky from Pixel Decals. It's a Paladine design that I love. Got it in the dark sand color and goes perfect with the color of my H3. :D

Replaced the printed US Flags I had with vinyl cut ones from Pixel Decals. I also got these in dark sand color. I like how it goes well with the color of my H3.

Looks just like the IR flags we get to go over seas, I think I racked up almost 10 of them by now. Maybe I'll slap some inside my T:wink:. I think you should get the ones flip around.

I have the flipped flag for the passenger side. :)

I have the IR 2" squares for the roof as well as a strobe. Both get mounted on velcro strips on the roof. ;)

Generally the flag is always worn as if it was flowing in the direction of motion. In other words on the left side it's standard and on the right it's flipped. If you only have one in front it's usually standard. If it's flipped, it's probably a way of IFF. Marines wore nomex suits for a while since insurgents had been found with Marpat utilities. Enemy is usually not aware if these changes, and it's a way of identifying them and being one step ahead of the game.

Spoken like a true patriot!!! One thing I was told but not 110% sure of but now that we are in a time of war and we are losing Americn lives down range, we wear the flag flip so show that we are in a war time. I may have to do some research on that!!!

Finally the guys at East Coast Gear Supply finished the skid plate to protect the ram assist piston.

This thing is bomb proof. Not the prettiest thing, but very functional.

Thanks. It's slowly getting to the point where I can truly start testing hard in more extreme situations. Nearly there. Too bad I have to leave again for many months and there was no way to go wheeling while I was here. :(

Love that r.a. skidplate. it looks like it might be 1/4" or close to it. That should take a beating and hold up well.

PixelDecals did a good job for you. I am using them for my EH decals now and he does great work, great customer service. now I need to call him for the made in USA ones.

Ok. After spending the afternoon at 4Wheel Parts in Raleigh, NC, I finally came to a conclusion. We put the H3 on the ramp to test if the suspension travel was still over 1000 after the high steer conversion and the Fox bump stops. Glad to say it still does. :D The second reason for putting it on the ramp, was to measure the space left in the wheel wells so I can figure out the max tire size I can put on. Conclusion: I have 2" on each side. That's without any trimming. That means I can fit a tire 4" bigger than the 37x12.50 I'm running now. With trimming I could probably get another inch. Looking at my options that Super Swamper offers in 17", I decided to got with the IROK Radial 39.5x13.5-17. I could probably fit a 40" or 41" but all those come in sizes way too wide. I don't want them to stick so much. Maybe in the future, if I find a rim with a different offset, and I can sell these, I might go bigger, since my setup can handle them. I may have to change to an 8 bolt wheel pattern to avoid shearing studs. I went ahead and ordered the tires even if I won't be able to mount them till after the summer. Interco is having issues with their supplier and there are stock issues. Can't wait to hit the trails with the new shoes in the future. :D
