I am not sure about the H3's but this guy Johnathan Goodwin has done some amazing thing with cars & trucks. This article is a little misleading because in one sentence he is talking about Hummer conversions
"Conservatively," Goodwin muses, scratching his chin, "it'll get 60 miles to the gallon. With 2,000 foot-pounds of torque. You'll be able to smoke the tires. And it's going to be superefficient."
and then they says
He laughs. "Think about it: a 5,000-pound vehicle that gets 60 miles to the gallon and does zero to 60 in five seconds!"
this statement here he is actually talking about an Escalade he did for another project that i also read about. The writer mixed it up here.

Anyway this guy does crazy stuff outside the box. he does not have to follow all the same regulations as a car manufacturer which is fine by me. I read he was approached
by GM to work for them at one point. He has a couple different companies and i have just heard a rumor that one of his H2's was for sale in the next town over from me... :-( I could not find it. he has a kit for an H2 for about $30K to replace everything with new Diesel, transfer case, transmission, computers, etc...and get you up to 650HP Biodeisel getting 25+ MPG The first article i ever read was a $45K conversion that got about 50 MPG if my memory serves me right. I have seen videos online of an H2 smokin all the tires!!!. I also saw a video of an H2 blowing away a Vette in the 1/4 mile.

http://www.hlineconversions.com/ Just Google Motorhead Messiah and see a crazy list of things he has accomplished.
I will tell you this... when i am ready to spend $40k on my next truck, that is about the same time
MessiaH2 is going to be ready for a complete overhaul. I will be doing one of these complete kits for sure!!! Been following this guy and his companies since he started.
