H3 What kind of Rigids should I go with?

What's the diameter of that bar? round or oval? the depth of the Rigid light will be the challenge mounting it in front of that bar.

Over all round diameter about1" I believe? I'm just planing on drilling into the bar.

Here are some dimensions (please note that these are close, not exact):
10": width of lens on 10" E series
11": width of front frame on 10" E series

2 7/8": height of D2

2 7/8": approx space between upper and lower Stealth bars. I will need to remove a D2 to see if it fits between the bars on my rack.

3 1/8": Width of D2

12 1/2" mounting width (at bar) of 10" E series. A 6" E series would be 8 1/2" wide at mounting point

7 1/4": Width of Stealth between outer bend (upper rail) and welds. A 6" E series, with a mounting width of 8 1/2" will NOT fit if mounted to the upper bar though it may if mounted to the lower bar

17": width of center section

3 1/2": approx depth of 10" E series

3": approx depth of D2, excluding bracket

3/8": additional width of E series lamp between frame and mounting point
7/8": width (widest point) of E series mounting bracket

That would b excelent if u could take the d2 off and see if it fits i think that would help me alot , and if it does , i could probably fab something to get it mounted and fit in between the bars ( not cutting into my precious gobi)

with the way the Duallys and bars mount, they are higher than what the standard GOBi allows. they will NOT fit in between the top and bottom GOBI bars. the best you can do is sneak them somewhat into the front as Alex did in his pics. If you mount behind, you will get some shadowing with the E series ( too tall). With the SR series, you will enough room as their overall height is very low profile.

Keep in mind, Rigid's sizing is the lense. Example: a 6" led bar is 6" to the lens width. that does not include the width of the frame, mounting brackets, etc.

see attached pics. If this is what you are after, the only way to do this is with a custom built GOBI.

here you can see how a Jk bar integrates with the RI bars. The H2/H3 stealth sits lower, so no way for them to fit inside like this without going custom.

this is how we did Jeff's custom rack. the tabs on teh sides were welded to the bottom of the bar. A standard rack has the flat stock for lights/ wind defect mounted to to the top of the bar.

FYI, D2s will NOT fit between the upper and lower bars of a Stealth rack. Need 1/16" more to even get squeezed in, 1/4" for any control of aiming.

I tried to take some decent night shots tonight but most came out blurry.

D2 flood only. They need some aiming to the sides.

mmm then the next best thing is to go with the sr series lights cause i want them in between the bars ... i have some piaa spots already so distance isn't really a big deal for me. wow alrock those things are pretty sweet.

Whatever you do in the middle, 30" is my opinion, mount 2 d2 on the front side so you can rotate them at 45*. This helps alot during night runs. Large lights are good but they dont give you enough 45* discharge even with flood/spot combo.

That's why I have my 20" bar in the middle, and my two 6x7's pointed on the edge of that light pattern, and then my duallys even pointed on the edge of that.

Its a pain in the butt, I am interested in seeing the light pattern of those new curved radius light bars. One 50" of those up top and I bet I'd be set.

This Thread was extremely helpful guys especially the measurements, I'm waiting for my Gobi to arrive and wanted lights here waiting for them. I think I've decided to go with 12'' LED in the middle and 2- 7'' on each side (for front of Gobi) and attach like alRock did. BUt Im not sure if the 7'' will look right because of the way to bar turns on side.. Ill post pics when its finished!

Go straight to Rigid's website. 1.25" is what you want. Depending on what lightbar you get, will determine what style mount is needed.

Thanks Timgco, I'm going to be mounting on my Gobi Stealth bar so 1.25? The lights have a single bolt on on each, I decided to go with 4- 4'' lights on top.

I'm picking up a stealth rack on saturday. I was thinking a 20 inch LED in the middle and two D2s. Do you guys think it will fit?

No, it won't fit. The middle opening on the standard/non-custom H3T Gobi stealth rack is 17". Some have ordered and Gobi will custom fab wider openings but I only know of one rack that was fabbed this way by Gobi, thanks to Timgco (JRH3T's stealth rack).
