7 rounds? WTF? Other than hunting guns, I don't know anything that has detachable magazines that small except maybe a compact .45. They're going to just keep pushing until you only get a 2-round mag...then no magazine...then ban them because "they're useless anyway." Morons.

Looks like you can have a 10 round mag but can only legally have 7 rounds in it. Looks like something the hunters/FUDD's would draft up to throw those "Kid's with the Paramilitary Stuff that no one needs for hunting" under the bus.

I finally got my AR bits together, Got pretty much a full LMT MRP for slightly less than retail, my stock, lower parts group and Cali bullet button, still waiting on DROS to finish on my receiver.

I signed up with a few groups, wrote a few letters, going to the Glendale City Hall tomorrow to make sure the pro-2A side is out in force as the city tries to kick out Gun shows.

I cleaned out the Big 5 in irvine on RWS Match. 3 boxes of 45 and 1 of 380. Also got another 100 rounds of Remington 45 JHP. ( that was all they had. ) They do still have a Ruger 10-22 for $239.00 if anyone is interested. I know those disappeared in Texas pretty quickly. Great little plinking gun and 22 is cheap.

They 22 long rifle shells are cleaned out around here.

Hunner, if you have an Atwoods anywhere close by they usually stock a few hundred thousand rounds of 22 long rifle and I have not ever seen them sold out. I bought 5 bricks last time I was at one and they had two entire shelves full of it. Might can order online from them also.

Teachers unions, politicians, etc all know that it helps their cause immensely to invoke the specter of children being harmed or that it is "for the children." Teacher's unions have used that phrase ad infinitum in CA for every tax and bond issue for the last several decades. You know, if you don't pay the teachers more the children will suffer, if you don't pay them more how can you expect them to teach your kids anything, if you don't add to their pension fund and secure their future how can you expect teachers to care about your kids education, if you don't build a bunch of Taj Mahal schools how can everyone be comfortable enough to learn......well you get the picture. Have to ban guns for 325,000,000 because 4-5 nuts kill 40-50 with firearms. If you can't see the logic in that well then you obviously aren't a liberal.

Texas Proposal: JAIL Any Federal Officials Trying to Enforce New Gun Restrictions in the State

measure would make any federal firearms legislation passed by Congress or approved by Presidential order unenforceable in Texas

A Texas lawmaker says he plans to file the Firearms Protection Act, which would make any federal laws that may be passed by Congress or imposed by Presidential order which would ban or restrict ownership of semi-automatic firearms or limit the size of gun magazines illegal in the state, 1200 WOAI news reports.


Republican Rep. Steve Toth says his measure also calls for felony criminal charges to be filed against any federal official who tries to enforce the rule in the state.

"If a federal official comes into the state of Texas to enforce the federal executive order, that person is subject to criminal prosecution," Toth told 1200 WOAI's Joe Pags Tuesday. He says his bill would make attempting to enforce a federal gun ban in Texas punishable by a $50,000 fine and up to five years in prison.

Toth says he will file his measure after speaking with the state's Republican Attorney General, Greg Abbott, who has already vowed to fight any federal measures which call for restrictions on weapons possession.

Toth concedes that he would welcome a legal fight over his proposals.

"At some point there needs to be a showdown between the states and the federal government over the Supremacy Clause," he said.

The Supremacy Clause is the portion of the Constitution which declares that federal laws and statutes are 'the supreme law of the land.'

"It is our responsibility to push back when those laws are infringed by King Obama," Toth said.

Texas is the second state to propose a measure to shield the state from the impact of any gun possession restrictions imposed by Congress or by Presidential order. A similar measure was introduced in Wyoming last week.

I called 5 Attwoods in Arkansas, no 22 ammunition. It has begun! It has trickled down to the lowest cal around here statewide.
No 10 round mags in town for 15-22 or on 20+ websites
$18 mags on Ebay for $80 at one supplier though.

Gunbroker.com had 19.99 AR-15 30 round mags in auctions at $40.00 ea. The Atwoods at Waco had a larger stock of 22 ammo than I think I have seen anywhere. If they ship you might try them.

I would be surprised if any local or state LE's in any of the western states (excluding those three on the ocean) and many southern states would enforce any Federal gun confiscation idea. And there is already precedence set not to follow federal laws since many cities/states do not enforce Federal immigration laws or in some cases, Marijuana laws.
