I have been sitting on the sidelines of this debate for a long time, listening, reading and trying to form my own opinion. As some of you know, I grew up in another country where the culture is different and there is no constitutional protections for owning firearms that I'm aware of.
To me, this talk about limiting access to firearms, limiting magazine sizes, etc ought to be a moot point. The constitution and its amendments says what it says. There can be no debate about that, and that ought to be the end of it. If someone disagrees with the constitution, maybe they should work through the political process and start by trying to change the constitution, and good luck with that.
Make no mistake: I *do* understand that many people want to do something to try and prevent despicable horrors like Sandy Hook etc from ever happening again but infringing on the constitution is, in my opinion, not the way to go about it.
