If i may, do any of you guys watch Top gear USA at all? They had one episode where they had the 2013 Escalade, 2013 jeep Cherokee and the 2013 land rover. If i recall, i remember tanner (the one driving a brand new 2013 land rover) was having all sorts of electrical and suspension issues with the car. Now, keep in mind that's a BRAND NEW land rover and its already having problems! Also, one of my close friends dad bought a brand new land rover HSE supercharged, he didn't even have it for 3 days before he had to have it towed to the dealer because it wouldn't run right. i dont mean to bag on the cars, but a lot of people know that land rovers have a reputation for being unreliable.

One can't represent all. There are bunch of other car shows reviewing LR with no problems but compliments. So do you wanna say 2013 LR are defect just based on a relatively unpopular Top Gear USA show?

I don't even watch Top Gear USA, it's boring to me. Sometimes the narrator looks like he doesnt know what hes doing or people on the show lack passion. Instead I watch Carbuyers, Saabkyle04, Cnet cars, roadfly etc. I only watch Top Gear UK the original one.

Kyle.
I'm driving a 2011 LR and have no problems so far.

Well thats good, maybe you got one of the rare land rovers that dont have any problems! You should get a little sign for yours saying " i have a have a land rover and it hasn't had any issues!" It would be a great conversation starter!

"One of the rare Land Rovers", funny fact for ya.

I guess I just found one more Land Rover hater.

I don't care whether it would be a great conversation starter or not. It doesn't matter.

Whatever you haters say, Land Rover is still there and people still demand it. More importantly the company revamps its vehicles. I can't wait to test drive a 2013 Range Rover and 2014 Range Rover Sport. Even if Land Rover disappears in the future, there are always other cars out there. Jeep, GM, Ford, Toyota, Mercedes, BMW, etc.(I know mercedes had never filed bankruptcy in the past century if not at least past 50 years.) Maybe new car manufacturers come out. The new companies I know are Tesla and Fiscker, but Fiscker is failing. Anyway, usually people will always find their new interests, hobbies and always become a new fan of something that they like.

I don't hate any car or anyone. That won't give me money but turn me into a less happy person. I'm just saying.

I've owned more than enough land rover product to be entitled to my opinion. I'm glad your 11 Is working well for you.

Each year the improvements are the latest and greatest. First BMW promised it. Then Ford. Now Tata. I think a LOT of the design and engineering of the product. They have some neat gizmos and widgets that could be really fantastic. That's why I've been involved with it for so long. But the execution frequently isn't good. Are there good cars? You bet. Are there bad ones??? You bet. Plenty.

Are they desirable? Sure. They're expensive, well appointed and therefore exclusive.

If you didn't want a discussion of the product, conceivably a fanboy thread on a hummer forum wasn't a good idea.

Go back and look at what you said on this Land Rover video thread. I just wanted to share videos then a narrow minded person suddenly came and left bad comments ruining everything.

And I posted this video thread under [Our Other Off Road Vehicles], where am I wrong????

If more and more members act like you, who would ever feel comfortable to post anything on this forum? Your kind of people will ruin the reputation of this forum.

You can go ahead and put hate comments on YouTube land rover videos to see how many thumb downs you will get.

You are the inappropriate one here.

I have had fun and learned a lot from just a single/simple video thread.

Thanks a lot.

I'm pleased you learned so much.

Ill leave you with a little of my handiwork. This was a disco we built for outback challenge. It was commissioned by several of the craziest enthusiasts I ever met. We built the suspension, bumpers, sliders, rear bumper with winch mount, and made it a little flexy.

Absolutely. But they had the coin and the desire... And they told a great story when they got back. Apparently they had the most impressive use of a hood as a skid when they broke the CV balls off jumping that 5000 # beast.

There is a point that the car is so beat that its liberating. One of my rock crawling jeeps got to that point. No more straight body panels, no more paint.......I was afraid of nothing.

I did similar things to my H3, deep scratches all over the body, dents, cracked body panel, etc. at least I wasn't afraid of getting paint damage anymore.

I once was wheeling with H4O members at Badlands Off Road Park in Indiana, somehow I was leading the crew( I was just driving at the very front ). I was driving so recklessly that others left me alone and drove thorugh a different path then we met each other again. I should've thought about others before deciding driving through that more dangerous path. I didn't think much because I got excited. My apology to those people, I didn't mean it, sincerely.

In the past I drove H3 everyday because that was the only car I had. I enjoyed building it up and taking extras off back to stock then I put them back on the H3 again to improve its off road capability. Since I realized that offroading can be very costly(I got a $3000 repair bill) and I mostly drive on the regular road, I started demanding driving comfort, speed, luxury. So I set criteria on my future car: comfort, speed, power, luxury, off road capability.

Then in December, I somehow got a chance to replace the vehicle so I ended up with driving a 2011 Range Rover Sport, it met the criteria perfectly. I'm just saying my story.

I appreciate your comment. Have you driven any Range Rover?

I had a friend with an old Defender 90, this thing was awesome. New Range Rovers look fancy and there are not allot of people that are willing to take it off-road. If i could've afford one, I would've not take it off-road either... Do, it was allot of fun to watch the first gen Range Rover in Camel Trophy.

Yeah, I believe most of the RR owners don't take it off road.

When I get back to Indiana, I will take mine off road to see what it can do with stock summer street tires.

:giggle: That's funny... I never thought of Indiana having "off-road". More of "off corn-rows" isn't it? What's the MSL of Indiana? Not exactly the kind of challenges that I think of. I guess it's what you do to have fun. I hate mud so I better not ever leave the West where we have mountains.

"I never thought of Indiana having 'off-road' "------

:funnyLol, You are the funniest one. You underestimate Indiana's off road trails? I guarantee your H3 will get stuck at certain points at Badlands Offroad Park. I had seen even buggies get stuck with 37s, 40s. You ain't got a tank.:asoff:

Come Indiana and see it yourself.
