Id love to, lol I love IFS but I am not sure about the funds. I have exhausted almost all ideas. Even to the point of going to the yard and picking up an isuzu trooper IFS axle because they were pass drop IFS with a drop out 3rd member and regearable but seeing they are 7.6s also I dropped that idea.

I would have to center mount it or as close to it, I dont want any more width, or very minimal width addition. I want over the counter parts so if I break in the middle of nowhere I can order over the counter parts. etc.

Just do the CI differential and see how it lasts. If you are careful it should last until you out of college. Then you could do an IFS kit. If you let the lower head do the thinking them all bets are off.

My girlfriend and I just exchanged gifts and I got a pair of Rigid Duallys and D2s!

I plan on making tabs, welding them to the front brush guard and mounting them off the tabs.

My brother and I are exchanging parts for the hummer and jeep and he got me a pair of LEDwarehouse lights for the rear of my gobi. They are a bit bigger then the mounting spot for the lights but I will make some brackets to extend them out. I was never a huge light guy but after hitting the local fire roads at speed during the night I could never keep up with my brother because I was afraid to go any faster due to limited visibility. I only had Piaa's while hes running a 40in bar, a 10in bar, and a pair of D2s . Shouldnt be a problem anymore keeping up any more!

Trying to decide how to mount these rigids I was going to weld tabs on the top but I didn't like the look. They needed to be lower. So I was going to weld a bar across the brush guard but the problem came up with if I had to remove the winch the bar would be in the way. So I decided to make a removable bar.









Now I have to wire them up

My trans cooler has been working great! Today I ran my ABS lines inside the framerail to avoid any future problems with rocks snagging them on the trail. Now they are not nearly as exposed and I may wrap some wire loom around them for added security.

Now I just need some Moab prep and I am saving up for my SAS. My brother (of all people in a damn jeep) is telling me not to do the SAS.

After seeing how much of a difference the new bilsteins make in the front I am going to save up for these...

I get to choose the valving, they are a short body 12in travel shock so they fit and the lengths works. Only thing I have to do is add a barpin to the shock or get a barpin eliminator. No big deal, thats easy stuff I can work out when I have the money.

Those look good, what valving do you think you are going to fun?

Seeing my brother got new shocks and I dont have the money for my Bilstein 7100 12in travel short body remote resi shocks yet I measured his rear bilsteins and were the EXACT same as my rear ranchos. Much better ride quality after I put those in! I will run them for a while till I get my own bilstein 7100s.

With my brother getting new tires we used the best of my duratracs and the best of his duratracs and had them mounted, balanced and rotated. What a difference in ride quality added to the better ride quality with the shocks. No more vibration between 70-75 mph. I had mud caked in between the rotor and rim, thought I got all of it out but did not which was causing that.

Now I have to get my front locker working, possibly a bad stator?

Well I finally have a front locker!!! Installed it today, had the day off work and a short day of classes. I tested it and its working. Wooohoo!

I also realized my windshield wiper nozzles got clogged up from all the mud I was in a few months ago so I took them out and let them sit in white vinegar for an hour or two and now they are like brand new.

Bad news is that my winch stopped working. I wont have a winch for this weekend but the good news is that I got the warranty from 4WP, 3 years no questions asked. They stopped making the Gen 1 XRC 10 so I will be getting an XRC 12 second gen at no cost!

I'm not worried about breaking halfshafts with a front locker. I've watched portager and h3ing use it many times with success. I've seen many more failures with front lockers and H2s

Like always...it's the junk between the half shafts that you need to worry about. Glad u finally got your front end sorted out. With some luck and an eggshell foot...it should last awhile.
