Yeah, its a noticeable difference in the around town fuel economy. The extra gearing makes the hummer feel "lighter" when driving it around. I rarely need to go past 30% throttle to keep up with traffic.

Still debating on whether or not I'll try and jump on this H1 deal. If so, I may formally list the H3 up for sale on here. Would be awesome if I could keep both, but unfortunately I cannot (already have 2 vehicles).

I'm getting around 200 to the tank right now, thats a significant difference!

I've gotten real spoiled the last 40k miles being able to do this

This has me digging into the PCS 2650 to run this as a standalone. This may be a viable option now that the hard parts are worked out. (Not hard difficult, I mean the shafts, adapters). I'd love to get that short gap double overdrive behind the diesel.

Wow, that mileage is impressive!

6l80e would be great in your rig. I'm pretty sure I've seen at least a couple different options for standalone control.
We're actually using the pcs controller in the 12v cummins H1 we're building, but for the 4l80e trans

Please adventr, can you make a video showing 0 to 60 times? At 100% throttle if you can..the comparison between the 4L60e and the 6L80e acceleration under wot would be great.

I don't know if i missed it/can't find it or I'm just being impatient :emb: but have you gotten around to making out the full components list for this swap?

I just got a bonus at work, and I'm going to get the TCM adapter and TC adapter pretty soon. How does the ECU reflash work? do you send yours back to TBMS or what? Can they reprogram the TCM for 4.11 gears, too?

has anyone else successfully done this? My 4l60e is on its way out, and instead of throwing in another ****ty "4" speed I think having the 6 speed will be wonderful especially with the i5 motor, having more gears to go through would be a big difference! So far, if i understand correctly, i will need to buy that adapter plate for the trans to mate with the i5, a 6l80e trans, a new spline shaft, and the TBMS harness/computer. then just bolt everything in.

If your vehicle has a TCM, then yes this is all is needed plus a torque converter.
Offcourse the trans needs to come from an AWD 2007/2008/2009 and maybe up to 2011 since the valve body of the 6l80e was revised sometime during that period.

08 up has an E67 pcm and T42 Tcm. The kit made by tbms adapts the T43 of the 6l80e to the T42.

I have an output shaft that will be here any day now and will be sending that off to get resplined. Once I have it swapped, I will have a core output shaft to send to the next swapper to get resplined.
