I've been stuck at 270 for awhile now what do your sets look like?

So for bench this is what i typically do.

Warm up 135x8-10
185 8-10
then a 3x3 with 225 or 245 (somewhere in there)
Sometimes I deload back to 135 and do another 8-10.

I read somewhere that in order to keep pushing your max you need to make sure youre doing alot of volume weight wise.
Also that strong lats helps as well.

I have also been steadily increasing my maxes on incline and decline bench.

I would honestly push my max more if i had a workout buddy, and finding good spotters at the gym is hard enough.

haven't see many updates, what's going on? I have been to the gym 6 days/week for the past 2 weeks and I've lost 5 lbs. I have a bet going with my dad that I can get to 170 and he can get to 220 by sept. 1st. that's about 1.5 lb/week. I think I can do it, if not I owe him $20 per lb.

It feels good to finally be getting back into shape. I cut out soda and junk food. It just doesn't taste good any more. I'm sure my family thinks I'm pretty obnoxious with this most recent health kick, but that's ok. hopefully I'll hit 160 and then come back up with lean muscle, instead of fat.

I want to start doing Krav Maga again. has anyone done that before? MMA? BJJ?

Damn I can't wait till I'm back to 220 or 200, I been stucked at 250-55 for the past 1 1/2 month. I am too concern about the scales numbers as I am about my appearance and performance in my workouts. Unfortunately I can do much about my diet yet, since I'm working 12-14 hrs shift rarely 8 hrs so it is morning 0530-0800 gym. To work 0930-22/2300, to bed, for next day, unfortunately my wife is been having pretty bad morning sickness due to pregnancy so she hasn't been unable to assist meal prep.
Anyways good job man. You making all kinds of gains !!

I have youth on my side but I started off at 254 on December 26th. Heres my chart was embarrassed to post this before but over alot of the months I only lost 4lbs but in reality it was like 10lbs of fat and up 6lbs of muscle. The scale literally means nothing. Now i'm scared i'm losing muscle so I'm hoping the weight stays up haha.

well, I would share a picture but I'm at work and photobucket is blocked. It's just me in a (men's) locker room, so I don't know how many of you would be all that interested. no motivational climber girls.

I'm down almost 7 lbs and about 2% body fat. I've missed 3 work outs in the past month and I (mostly) quit drinking soda and junk food. I don't miss it and calorie reduction is getting to be pretty easy. it's amazing how well the human body adapts to stress.

even if you do gain a bit of fat, I'm sure it won't be a problem to work off. hey you can just swim a bunch, that's a killer workout.

no one's posted here in a month?!? where's my motivation?

I slacked off a bit on the diet, but I'm back at it. I had a perfect week last week and I'm my BF is low enough that I actually have to count calories to lose fat. I'm super tired of cutting but I have 12 lb to go before I can start doing a clean bulk. I changed up my program so I'm doing HIIT 2x/week, a push day, pull day, legs, and shoulders and I'm doing abs 2x/week. It kind of sucks doing all this lifting to not make progress because I'm still cutting, but that's how it goes. I shouldn't have eaten all that junk food.

That's me, an FJ, and 2 wranglers (surrounded by lifted diesel trucks that have never been off road)

and some progress!

10 lbs down, all lifts are up. I use a bioimpedance scale that says I'm down 3% body fat, but those things aren't very accurate and I like to think they underestimate BF% so maybe it's down more than 3%! here's to being hopeful. My short term goal is to lose another 10 lb so I'm at 170 and 15% BF in 2 months. Re-evaluations when that happens.
