So looking forward to seeing the group and I’m a definite with Jameson

Hey guys, I'm looking more and more like a definite now.

Ink just dried on a new job, I already got the time off booked with them, in which case I'm bringing myself + 2 [family but no extra vehicle], but might have +2 [Franco and Jo] show up from California as well.

I'm probably going to rent a half ton pickup and an equipment trailer and haul my hummer from Texas to Moab. Plans may change. Looking at accommodations now.

Looks like I may be able to have my girlfriend join me for the first day, with her flying home Monday evening. More to come.

Update, I got a VRBO Condo/Townhouse booked in the Spanish Valley, from Sunday->Friday. We'll be staying in Monument Valley Saturday night. I'd stay a bit longer if we were splitting driving but I don't want to push my folks to try to get to Moab from Texas in 2 days, so we'll be taking our time and 3 daying it in 2 vehicles [Suburban & the H1]

Our party is 3 + a dog, although Franco/Jo may show up in one of their 4x4's but that's undecided as of yet.

Unfortunately guys…..it doesn’t look like I will be making it to BlackSheep Week this year. Combination of things. My H3’s solid axle swap may or may not be done in time, the baby may come at anytime before after or during, and lastly work has been getting crazy busy.

I had such an awesome time with everyone last year. Bummed to miss out on everything this year

Okay, Black Sheep - what trail do you propose we do on our first day (Sunday)? Something fun but not too crazy. It’s a good day to make sure the truck work properly, but not necessarily fully test the trucks. Past years have included Poison Spider, Top of the World and milder runs. Of course it was 2013 when my H3 broke on what was essentially a flat road. It could be a good day to do a totally new trail. Elephant Hill? I don’t have my book with me so I don’t recall those details.

Elephant hill sounds good. We were talking about doing that one if we stayed longer.

Have done nothing to the H3 since last year, as far as maintenance. Took it out on a Lincoln Navigator recovery a week ago. Broke a tie bar on the winch. I think I broke a mounting bolt that needs replaced. Should change the oil and maybe throw the roof rack back on. I think we will be camping this year. Did not make any reservations.

Top of the world. I’m behind on schedule but still on for Moab. Trying to get my ice shanti off the lake.

Top of the World or Elephant hill sound good to me. But I'm not hell bent on anything and still haven't run many of the trails down there. You'd think I would have seeing it's only a 5 hour drive down there for me.

I would be there once a month if it was only a 5 hour drive.

I’m looking for something easy to start. Gotta break in some some and make sure the pig is ready. Putting a left half shaft in tomorrow. It’s clicking bad. Think I broke it tugging a ram of the lake

Top of the world and Poison Spider we have done several times. Both are fun trails and as last year showed can get more interesting as time goes.

I wonder if the theme this year will be" these are really torn up" or "it was not this bad before "
