I'm bummed... I mis-read my calendar and I had already committed to something else. If that thing ends up being canceled then I'll come play in the dirt with you guys.

Quite okay. LCC has always been our customary run while the BSHS kids were out playing. Just happened a little late this year do to the "leader" having to get some work done on his truck.

Put me down as a maybe, I really need to get out on the trails. If I half commit it will motivate me to make it happen..

I know i'm new here and mostly just a lurker but I might stop by and check things out. I live near this area about 20 miles away, and my brother lives in california city which basically makes last chance/jawbone/sequoias his backyard. look for the mad max style rigs. That would be my brother and friends. We used to go prospecting for gold out there. We haven't been prospecting in a couple of years, but we still do the trails. you guys have fun.

We have another prospector here. He goes by Portager. If you want to tag a long or grab a seat, am sure we will have some open seats. It would be nice to meet you

I should know by Sunday if my truck can make the event. this past weekend I was supposed to change out the idler / pitman arms but unforeseen events happened and I didn't have the chance to do it comfortably since I like to take my time and I am not too experienced mechanically. Also my truck being so old and fairly rusty it makes things a little harder. I also haven't been able to go to a tire store so I don't know if I will have new tires by that time.

I'm really hoping to be able to go since I have had my truck for seven months now and all she has done is drive up and down the beach at Pismo for off roading. If for some reason my truck can not make the event would I be able to ride along with someone?

YOu can ride along with me.

If you need a hand with swapping out the idler and pitman arm let me know, I can help you out. I'm between jobs at the moment so I have ample free time.

This week is going to go by quick! Just a reminder for everyone . . . bring lots of water and a light jacket. Looks like it may get up to the high eighties this weekend with the lows in the fifties. So far, there are two coordinated caravans (Culver City and Santa Clarita). I will update the first post as more appear.

Well my truck won't be ready for this weekend. :gaah:

no new tires and the nut wouldn't thread back on to hold the Pitman Arm to the Steering Shaft. So she is on her way to Tustin. Got lucky with getting her on the flat bed, the tires didn't turn too much. and the tow truck drive and myself were able to turn the tires the little bit we needed to help get her on the flat bed.
