Zack you would be better pimping Chris out then selling Daves truck. This might not end well.

Don't worry Matt. All handled. With the blond wig I found in the 92. Yeah, I know, your guess is as good as mine. I put it on rocky, he worked some magic lets say. Rocky made a new friend. And we are far from Vegas now

Well, we are 33 miles outside of Baker. Called AAA and have a tow truck coming to tow us to Baker. The lights were too much draw. I waited till the last minute to turn them on tonight. We will probably spend the night in Baker and take care if it in the am

When the tow truck driver came out, he said he couldn't tow it because of where I was at. I pulled way off the road in the dirt and only had the left side tires on asphalt. He said he was going to have to call a recovery truck at $180 an hour. Told him I did it for safety. Luckily I talked him into winching it onto the highway.

I'm home safe and sound. Had a three hour stop in Vail as snow had the pass closed. When I went through it was dark, snowy and slick. I've never towed a trailer that heavy through a snow packed mountain pass before and would really rather not do it again. It's nice to be home though.

Thanks again to everyone for making the Black Sheep trip so special. I believe this is my sixth trip with the group and the trails, the laughs and the friendships both old and new are truly special times. Moab Diner was my new experience for this year, wonderful breakfast and we had some great laughs.

My wife and I will likely be celebrating our 20th anniversary in late October with a trip that likely will not include Moab so I'll see you all again in the spring.

Brian, Likely? You don't sound very sure of this. :)

Bummer to hear about your batteries. Did you go with Optimas again?

No, I'm done with the optimas, no where worth the price premium. My first set lasted a year in the truck, then was replaced with a 2nd set which lasted a little over 4 years.

I went with 830 CCA's Group 78's from autozone. I basically look at the label and do a little research, the Johnson control batteries are top rated in review circles, and they are used by many stores and brands, like evermaxx walmart, die hard, champion pro, Bosche, duralast, etc. Was going to go with the evermax wallmart but they are too long to fit in the H1 battery box [the old ones fit no problem]. Autozone added a AGM type battery similar to the optimas last year called the platinum series.

I had to re-arrange my cepek compressor mount and shave a bit of plastic off the side handle mount of the new batteries to get my tie down mounted but it was fine.

Glad you made it Zach. Thanks for the help.

Not a problem Dave. Glad i could help with it. Even though my truck didnt go, i still had a blast. Got the chance of a lifetime. I got to drive not just one H1 but two. Lol. Even with the issue, I still had fun

Not quite home yet, but we're on our way home tomorrow. It was an absolute blast and great to meet everyone. I will definitely be back. Probably not until next Spring, but I'll return. Thank you to BSHS; especially to Nav and Neo for the hospitality and place to stay.
