With just a T-Bar crank? I just want to move the rims out enough so that I don't contact the front sway bar.

I used 1" and it sufficed, but you'll have to trim your wheel studs. Which is a PITA and some say it's unsafe. I don't know about 1.5" but with 1.75" you just slap'em on and use some loctite and you're good togo.

I painted them! Sadly I just realized the front skid for the alpha doesn't fit at all with the rancho and i'm going to have to cut it down.

A good amount, I was painting it when The offroad shop finished my lift. So when I go back there to get my bolts re torqued he'll trim it for me. The alpha skid is a heck of alot bigger than the regular H3 skid.

One more question, whats the fender to axle center measutements front and rear after your lift? Is the rear sitting higher?

Oh with just a t-bar crank you are fine...but like they already mentione you are going to have to trim the inner fender liner specially in the front. And even some time you'll rub a full lock..also lately I des over that your tires rub in the rear part of the fender closer to the cabin-driver...when making sharp turn it is not bad nor affects anything...but I'm sure that can easy lo be fix with a 1" body lift

I ran +10mm wheels on my truck with 35s, thats equivelant to a 28mm spacer on stock wheels! I had zero rubbing on the back of the fenders, and v. Minimal rubbing on the sway bar at full lock. If it wasnt for a very tiny and shiny bit on the sway bar I would have never known it rubbed!

Personally, It seems like everyone get different rubbing point depending on what tire they run...but the bottom line is no matter where the rubbing is, it is not bad enough to cause damage.

I vote no on the weird anrgy eye thing. Are you still gonna do the projector retrofit? I'm thinking about doing that also. Instead of buying the Starrs.

eta: Dude! Look into getting a 30 inch light bar in the front bumper like mine. It would be sick with the 50'' that you have.

Did you put yours in yourself? i was interested in putting one in the lower bumper as well

Yeah. It wasn't to bad. I had to take the brush guard and grille off. Then pop out the plastic thing that is already there. I used the mounting brackets that came with the light bar and and put the bolts through two clip holes that are already there. It really is the perfect spot for one. I didn't have to drill anything.

Update: Painted the hood and fenders in raptor liner, great product. I then painted my tow hooks and other parts using rustoleum enamel and clear coat. I also finally got around to wiring my light bar. I even stuck in the Odysseus battery from my yellow H3. Next step is painting the roof rails and my SOA to hopefully net around 6" of lift and raise the ground clearance. Pics:

Thought I would Update the build a bit. This is three months progress on the build. Most recent mod is 37" goodyear mtr's with 4.5"bs 17x8 rims. If you upgrade to 37's I recommend a wider rim. If anyone was wondering how the alpha handles the 37's, it feels perfectly fine, very similar to the 315's with stock rims. Also I mounted a 37" spare by simply taking off the spare mount and turning it 180* and bolting it back in

Joined a new offroad group a couple of weeks ago and we went wheeling at hawkpride offroad, we hit some of my first difficult trails (really off-camber, and really tight)https://vimeo.com/111090113they called my 3 the trail hippo... But in a nice way, they're a great bunch of guys with alot of experience.

I found myself in a lot of situations where jeeps could juts go right in-between trees I had to maneuver around them. I also found that There were a lot of instances where I had a lot more ground clearance and crawled right up things while others bounced around and had to use some wheel spin.

The trip made me realize that. I really need some skids and sliders. While on a tight trail I had a tree bend in my fender and scrape across it, and the raptor liner held up really well, I just touched it up with a paint brush and it looks good as new

I got hung up on my leaf-spring mounts also, but that will change with the SOA once I finally get the time and will power to start.

Alot of my money from work has been going to tools, now I have an angle grinder, chop saw, 250amp stick welder, sockets, an air compressor, 4 ton jack, 6 ton jack stands, and various wrenches. I finally have everything I need to start the SOA.

Some mods i'm planning on doing are 1" body lift, custom made 3/16" 2"x2" rock sliders that will double as steps for the 5ft gf,... And a custom made roof rack. I'm also tempted to pull the trigger on the retrofit projectors with oracles. I've found someone who sells colorshift oracles for the heads and fogs for 150$.

Working on this truck has been a ton of fun, and progress is going so much faster and smoother than my other 3. I'm hoping to net 6-7" of lift overall, get as much ground clearance as possible, widen my stance a bit, improve the appearance, and then i'll look at performance.

Update got oem sliders and got my roofrack on also installed a 1" body lift awhile ago and replaced the rocker plastic with black bolts. Also installed 2 12" subs and dual 52" light bars and a 21" in the lower grill. And completed my retrofit
