lsv_palana- You need to be in the proper vin selection, then the bcm module. If you have an aftermarket stereo and harness that will need to be disconnected and have some extra fobs, not all fobs can be programmed for some reason. Two of mine worked two did not, 1 came with the truck the other three from ebay.

Hello. Thank you for info about Tech2. I also have it. I have alpha v8 5.3l. I have tried to programm FOB but i cant. I found page with FOB programming on tech2 but i cant tie fobs to car. Can you explain how to do it. I am not nub, i do many things with tech2 with car but i cant programm fobs.. please teach me. If possible with photo and with explanation.. thank you..
Some FOBs have a note saying that they don't work with SA model H3s . Make sure this isn't your case. Are you programming a stock replacement?

Decided to start making hummer DIY videos and install videos! First ones my bumper light bar, tons of room for improvement and tons of ideas for video potential since no ones tapped this market really on youtube! If anyone has any videos they would like to see or have any ideas feel free to let me know and i can make it happen! Heres the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK075Nf4b24&feature=youtu.be Also be advised, i filmed all this with my iphone, so its not going to be the best, next video is going to have more "professional" vlog feel to it!

Those are the same I used, not sure if SA uses a different one though. If you have an aftermarket stereo with a gmos or similar connector harness it can interfere with the Tech 2 programming or reading of module.

Here is photo of fob from ebay that i need to programm. Is it suitable for me ? V8 5.3l 2008 h3 ?

Their are multiple vendors with Tech clones, it is VERY easy to brick your modules and give you a vehicle that doesn't run or start or have a multitude of other oddball problems. The clones come in a range of qualities, if you get a low end one and the thing reboots or loses connection while your changing the parameters on whichever module your fiddling with.... well ya bad day for you. Have a spare for whatever your playing with.

Is this what i need to program pcm, bcm, and other items on 07 h3 with 3.7?

My wife keeps telling me to start a youtube Hummer DIY videos with all the repairs I've done lately. I just don't feel like taking the time to film and edit. I've replaced plenty of parts now on the H3. Clocking 232000 miles right now.

Yea, making the time to film and edit is what's tough, but I think the "market" for it on YouTube is available, I'm hoping I can make something of it, already have a second video going up today with way better editing and video

I put a towel in my driver's side floorboard after I found out the sunroof drains are probably clogged. First rain since I've had the H3.

So far today I replaced the driver's side door exterior handle, the hood struts (very nice to not live in fear of being knocked out) and shimmed/rigged the passenger side rear view mirror to stop wobbling. I hope to get some more small things knocked out today if the rain holds off. I'm starting to like this thing.

Replaced my battery tonight. Last night I replaced the terminals with some brass ones I had laying around.

Saturday I went down to Little Sahara (Utah) and ran around in the dunes with a bunch of other offroaders from Rocky Mountain Extreme 4x4. Had a lot of fun, and managed to not break anything even though I tried pretty hard.

Well, except my battery apparently. Halfway through the outing I started having trouble starting the H3 back up, it'd end up just clicking the solenoid and not actually turning the starter motor. Fortunately after a bit each time it would eventually start.

The battery has been feeling like it was starting to wear out, this past winter it'd turn the motor over a bit sluggishly if it sat for more than a day without being run.

I think bouncing around caused it to finally go over the edge. I checked the voltage and while it would read 12.6 at resting, as soon as I turned the key to "On" it'd drop below 12 volts. When I pulled it tonight to replace it I noticed the sides were bulging which is a pretty good sign the battery is damaged. I wanted to get an X2Power AGM from Batteries Plus Bulbs, but it wasn't in the budget, so I ended up getting a Duracell AGM from Sam's Club for $130. It's not the best, but it's not bad either, it's a Deka/East Penn private label apparently which have good reviews, and has a 3 year warranty on it. It'll do for now.

My wife's crown Vic has an air suspension system, but I replaced the air bags with coils because I'm cheap AND lazy. I wonder if the unused air compressor could be used on my H3...

It could, but it probably wouldn't be worth much, OEM airbag compressors usually don't put out much air since it doesn't take a lot to fill the airbags, and I think their duty cycle is pretty low so you can't run them for very long.

dang. oh well. that's what I though because when the airbags were leaking, the compressor wouldn't run for very long before crapping out. maybe I'll sell it on ebay for more modz then.

Well, the battery did need to be replaced, but there's something else that is really the problem now. It started fine to go to lunch but to come back it took a few times before the starter motor would turn. I guess the next thing to check is the starter relay and then the starter itself.

Oh, and I'm getting a P0411 as well now. That just started yesterday...

I finally got around to putting those universal gender flares on. They're ugly but they work.

It's kind of tough to get them to sit flush against the flare near the back where it curves in. Everywhere else is easy. The instructions recommended leaving them in the sun so they would be more pliable. That's a good idea. Also it may be a good idea to have a buddy to push them against the flare. I had my 7 year old daughter help me, but her upper body strength isn't so good.

Did you cut notches in them where the panel curves in and out? That would help with getting them flush as well, though it might cause the outer part to buckle weird.

I didn't. I might try it on the other side. Only 1 is done so far
