So this may sound funny, but how do the buttons feel? I recently installed an Alpine head unit in my wife's car and the buttons feel like they are going to fall off at any moment.

I'd like to put in a new head unit, sorry of like what you have with that Kenwood, but the fear of a crappy build is part of what holds me back. Any thoughts so far on this?

Bolted on some N-Fab steps then cruised over to the Alexandria Safe Zone. Walking Dead fans know what's up.

Got hit, only dented my license plate, and broke my 20$ back up camera, busted one of his headlights. Not enough damage to go through insurance so just shook hands and went out separate ways.

Also replaced a HID light bulb, for my projectors. It's a pain, because you have to take the headlight off to pop the light out.

Got some big plans once i'm done with my first year of college only 3 weeks left. I should be back on the forum updating with mods.

Also have alot of things to touch up on and fix up, mostly chipping paint where I didn't prime before the bed liner. Planning on doing more to my audio system, mainly deadening the roof using either sound deadener, or wood. Not to mention finally building and painting my MOVE Rear bumper.

Need to throw my roofrack back on too, I miss the way it looked before, but sadly it makes it too big to fit into parking garages.

Thank you! It was a great decision (cheap too). I was looking for something to make mine stand out from the rest and I achieved the exact look I was going for.

Ok so before I do something to my h3 when I come home for summer break, I need a few opinions. So as a few of you know I hydrolocked my engine and cracked my crank case, so this week a shop is putting in a brand new motor.
When I come home, I am planning on getting a snorkel so I never had to worry about water again so that is on the list. But I also would like to do the daystar body lift, but do not want to pay to have someone install it and want to tackle it myself. Can anyone chime in and let me know how the install went if they did it themselves? I've read all of the write ups but still am not 100% confident on doing the install alone. Thanks in advance!

Do it there's nothing to it...idk where u located but if u have snow and salt...u probs my gonna have a little hard time...i did my truck was a N.Y. truck. Other than that just need an impact some extension sockets, a breaker bar...a hammer, a base and u are in business, maybe a angle grinder I has to use mine to get a stubborn bolt that wouldn't bulge so had to make a cut on the sleeve' side. The slave was still ok to use. I went ahead and removed the bottom part of the radiator plastic cover and left it out haven't had a problem so it is not necessary, u can modify it like it says on the instructions but not necessary, lastly serve yourself some vodka or whiskey and get to it.

My hummer must have been exposed to some SERIOUS Salt, because every bolt was stuck and rusted. The only way I could get them out of the sheeth was with a torch and a sledgehammer. Overall its a pretty simple install, without rust it would have taken a couple of hours max.

Find some time to try the body lift yourself, once your done it and look back at it you will be happy that you didn't let some bozo charge you their shop rate for such an easy job.

Have you ever taken a bolt out?
Have you ever used a Jack?

If you answered yes to either or both, I have faith in anyone taking it on not matter the experience level

SPRAY all bolts down with pb blaster or something like it for a couple days befor you do the lift. I did mine with a floor jack and a block of wood Very easy Just take your time. I think it took about 3 1/2 hours to do it by my self. [YOU CAN DO IT ]

Awesome, definitely going to tackle it in the near future. I am afraid of rust because rust is a big problem in NJ, plus I drove through salt water the day it hydrolocked and obviously didn't wash it out yet
Hoping to bang it out in a day when I'm home

Its straightforward if you have the right tools, make sure you're using 2 jack stands and a decent floor jack. Also, the salt in your area might make it harder to free the old bolts from the mounts, I had to make a trip to a garage to get 2 of those separated.

Also remember to crack open the windows during installation, and be sure to align the body and frame perfectly on your way back down.
A helping hand reduces installation time by half.

Good luck.
