Wish I had good recommendations. Mine was the bad outcome (new head) and I had no other symptoms. That said, most are able to resolve that issue without a new head.

Never had to do it myself but the H3 programming is standard GM and shouldn't be hard for a locksmith to duplicate the work. However, I can't recall if they have to be paired with the vehicle via the BCM or not.

It's a bummer - older vehicle, relatively small production runs, short life and limited aftermarket support. Not good for long term maintenance forcing everyone to get a bit more creative.

Interesting choice. Has that friend done the homework on what ethanol may do to fuel systems in cars? E10 (10% ethanol) is generally considered safe for a vehicle with the H3's age, but higher than that may cause issues.

did you read through the thread, including post #6? Please share what steps you are taking and exactly what isn't working. Pedal doesn't move, pedal moves but nothing happens, brakes are barely working, etc.
