H3 2006 BEST REPLACEMENT TOUCH SCREEN RADIO

I really like the floating screens in the H3. You can get a larger screen and (if you pick correctly) not block the controls. The screen will be at a better angle as well. I think I had Kenwood as well. Start on Crutchfield.com. I did not want built-in navigation, I did require wireless Carplay...

AC not cooling well at idle and in hot weather - want to add electronic co denser fan - 2008 H3 Alpha

Put a thermometer in the air vent and drive around for a while at street/highway speeds and see that temp the air is. If it's in the 40s, maybe low 50s, I doubt it's an issue with the refrigerant as it would cooling effectively. Often if we use those parts store a/c kits they can put in too...

AC not cooling well at idle and in hot weather - want to add electronic co denser fan - 2008 H3 Alpha

While the e-fan may block some airflow when not in use, it definitely increases airflow when in use. There's a reason GM had this as a factory option in South Africa and the Middle East. Reloader cobbled together the parts to put that system on his Alpha and it was effective. Considering your...

SOLD -Free(ish) to good home - H3 and off-road tools

Correct. We (meaning Reloader) used the fittings (cut down to size) from a dead rack to create this bypass. It's a good trail fix when the rack breaks to preserve the pump as well as the serpentine belt.

    I must be missing something.

Got a few odds and ends that need to end up somewhere useful. Some of the key thing here: Factor55 winch line splicing thingy Tire patching kit 35mm and 36mm sockets - one of those is for torsion bar bolt 1 7/16 and 1 3/8 open end wrench - for inner tie rod nut Power steering bypass line for...

    Monsoon stereo questions.

Sounds like a temporary glitch in the radio that you may have cleared up. Test the A/C by putting it into Defrost mode as that kicks on the A/C as well. That should help narrow down if it's a button issue or something else.

    2006 H3 Cold air intake

There's some good discussion in here, and some, uh, well, Rascole captured it properly with his GIF. I think some well intentioned comments and opinions didn't convey well across the Internet. All I ask is that when we counterpoint or argue an idea - which is more than welcome - to please focus...

H3 Rattle noise when doing highway speeds

A pillar trim on the windshield is the most common source. The clips break or even just work a bit loose and the trim moves in the wind. Solutions are replacement pieces, securing them with windshield adhesive (a pain when you need to replace the glass), securing them with nutserts/bolts and...

    2024 Suspension options available?

If you're talking about supporting the weight of added equipment, shouldn't you start with springs before shocks? Springs control the weight and suspend the vehicle, shocks control the motions. If you have good springs and remove the shocks, the vehicle stays at the same height but is bouncy. If...

    Looking for help

There's a lot of differences between model years, from engine to trans to other components including a/c and smaller things you wouldn't think of. Older ones like a 6.2 naturally aspirated are the easiest to work on but are the slowest by far. Newer ones, like an 06 (note that it's still an 18...
