Ha! What can I say

So I got all the wires run from the winch to the solenoid, got the solenoid mounted up under the hood..... Then on my last electrical connection on the winch I over tightened the connection and BAM!

I sheared the bolt right off.... Face palm

So I pulled the winch out and took it back to the store I bought it from, they have the best return policy ever, got it switched out for a new one. And now I have to bolt it up and start over again

Took the T out on a weekend wheelin' trip last weekend and I'll be sure to post up some pic's once I get them, but I did wreck/wear out a few parts and now have some upgraded parts on order to fix
Brake pads-Replacing on all four corners, Driver rear started making some grinding sounds on the trip out to the trail head (350km one way)..... metal on metal, hope I don't need new rotors!

Inner Tie Rod- ordered the Outfitter Designs kit to upgrade both inner tie rods & both outter tie rods... my theory is that I am putting much more added stress on the system with the lift and 37's and I am going to wear all of these parts out over time, so I might as well upgrade and pay for the cost upfront rather then wear them out one by one and pay more over time.

So I got two updates and a trail run to report on soon!

I started to make some improvement/modifications to my home made roof rack, prepping it for the final version which will be coated in Raptor Liner.

I also picked up picked up my new beefed up tie rods from the post office today, I plan to get those installed tonight! (and an alignment over the weekend).

I'll post my thought about them after I get a chance to abuse them a bit

So after adding all the new front end parts and winch to the truck iI got my T bars cranked to bring me back to the right ride height... Got an alignment done... Now I see that my Rancho rear leaves have sagged even after adding a leaf! I am now measuring 25"... I imagine if I didn't do the AAL I would be back to stock height

I assume this happened after a two day trail run that had a good 20km's of higher speed wheelin' over a dried up river bed

So SOA is the way to go... I won't fix these leafs... I'll go straight to SOA in the fall

I also started working on a new OBA system and here is a sneak peak at what that looks like so far:

Tank, with cut off switch, regulator and dump valve.... I think I'm going to ditch the regulator for a manifold since the cut off is at 100 PSI anyways.

Going to try band pick up the compressor I have picked out, but if it's not in store then I will have to order and wait a few days

Just got the tracking number for the Hutchinsons, I'll be picking them up next week I hope (shipped to near the border in MT then I'll take them across and save on all the boarder fees.... It's still 3 hours each way though :S)

Took off the "long john" fender flares because one got really chewed up on our road trip and I felt that they de-clawed the T's stance

In my excitement about the new beadlocks I felt like doing some dipping on my T to get rid of some chrome... I tried both black and orange (which I had sitting on the shelf) here is what they looked like:

I am sure you can guess which color I chose to paint the other three caps....

Over the weekend I spayed Raptor liner on my Sliders, turn out real good! I won't be using the aerosol variety any more now that I have discovered this stuff!
Here is what came in my kit:

All I needed to add was the color of tint of my choice and a sure line fitting that would match up to the air hose
The end result turned out like this:

It is much more "grippy" and resembles the commercial stuff way more then the duplicolor product

I have read many good reviews and heard of numerous positive experiences with raptor liner and other 2 part bed liners. I don't feel like the aerosol bed liners are worth a crap other than just painting some trim. I couldn't imagine someone actually using something like that in their truck bed.

Still waiting on hardware from Hutchinson, hope they come soon, then I believe I will be ordering some 37x12.5r16's Trxus M/T's.

I also installed an ARB OBA air set up in the box under the snug top

That setup is only temporary until I get my 2 gallon tank installed and it will get all re-worked and plumed in

Starting to plan my SOA, thinking I'm going to put in some air bumps at the same time, but still want to do more reading before I commit to that just yet.

Tomorrow night I will be heading over to a local club meet and someone is bringing a 20* ramp so I can score my flex before and after the SOA

All this flex talk is killing me. I thought hummer was known for the bad a** IFS yes they got it from the h1 who has fully independent suspension but the principle is the same if we wanted insane flex should a bought a jeep that being said IMO flex IS overrated... Does it hurt to have no but man I could care less about "flexing" that's a jeep thing and no I don't understand.

I taught it was stablished quite some time ago "HUMMERS DON'T FLEX, THEY BALANCE" lol
I have had my experience with the military HMMWV once or twice and they don't flex any more than hour gunners do.

A stock H3 has a score of 447 your score must be wrong somehow.

Hmm it must have something to do with the wheel base.

If I use the stock h3 score of 447, that means it went up a 20* ramp 50 inches.

Assuming I could go the same distance if I factor in my wheel base of 132.4" I get a score of 372.5.

I think the guys told me to stop after a wheel spin a bit, not when I was at the point of a wheel lifting, thus the lower score


But like you guys said the RTI isn't what it's cracked up to be
