Hans, Portager is right. Pick up a mini-sledge hammer at Harbor Freight and bang away on that shield while you prop it against a concrete curb or on flat some other flat surface - it can't be that far off in order to get it to fit.

Somehow, that evaded me until just now. :shame: Good thinking!! I'll see if I can borrow a sledge from someone and give that a shot. :)

I was able to get the corner that wasn't bent in there...so I'm hopeful that it will fit.

When you bolted it back up, did you bolt only the front two holes? Doesn't look like I'd be able to get at the back ones...

Well, I had some great weather today and tried to fit the skidplate I got from Bigunit, but there is a corner that is sort of bent up and won't allow me to slide it between the narrow gap where it needs to fit... So, I need to (I guess) take it to a metal press or something to flatten it back out. Hmm...

Anywho, here are a few better photos of the lift.

I wish I wasn't such a sort S^%^ then I can get a 4" lift kit, I'll just live with a 1" body lift.

Solid, I'm with Kevin on this one. Heck, once the lift is on you could probably (dare I say) get away with nerf bars. ;)

I got the 6 step N -Fab step side I'm planing to beef up soon. I'm only 5'6" and the last thing I want Aholes saying is "hey DUDE sweet truck, sorry about your penis". I'm just fine with the 1" body lift and Ill be OK with that.

hans I remember a concern was ride quality with the double add a leaves. How is the ride so far?

It's definitely stiff over speed bumps and potholes and that sort of thing. The front is much dippier and the rear is much stiffer. Sort of polar opposites.

The ride of the lift could be better, but it's not much worse than stock...so far. :)

Truck looks great Hans! Are you sure your not to "high" with the lift on your truck, as you seem to not be able to park in the lanes?:mock:

Har har, Olan... I just pulled in, snapped a few shots, then went back to my "safe" parking spot on the far end of the lot. :)

I like the placement of the H4O sticker.

Thanks! I didn't look right anywhere on the body of the truck (especially since I don't really have a rear window) so I thought it looked at home there.

So I've developed a small, high-pitched squeak when turning. It happens off and on and seems to be prevalent after the truck has been sitting for a while (i.e. over night).

Does anybody have any ideas what it might be?

hmmm....can give me some more details? Front end when turning? sounds like left side? right side? turning and moving or turning the wheel when sitting still?

can you feel it in the steering wheel? how about in the gas pedal? or brakes? lol Sorry for all the questions...its just the more we know the easier it is to detect.

To me it sounds like front driver side...could be passenger as well. I can't feel anything. Just hear the loud squeak...then it goes away. It sometimes comes back when braking or turning again.
