Thanks Luis! If its in the general vicinity of what I need it will be perfect, I have no problem moving shock mounts closer or further to make these work

I have reservations for a cabin Saturday thru Saturday at Moab rim campsite. So I'm close to the outpost and a reservation at Friday the 18th at motel 6. So don't be surprised if I stop at the outpost early with some cold beverages. Saturday I may get a chance to check out some Jeeps and Neo told me to take the kids to Hole in the Rock, last year.

Is there still an early outing on Sunday for the early birds?

There's a possibility Lauren and I may come visit for a night. Plan at the moment puts us on the 15 sometime that week, so it wouldn't be a long detour to say hello.

Lookin' forward to steel bender? :giggle: Every time I see a disco now I think of the things I watched yours do. Looking forward to seeing more!

This year I will welcome steel bender with open arms. I'm prepared this time around with some stronger rear end steel!! :woot:

has anyone delt with the following shop ever?

Treadway Tire Service35 E. Grand Ave.
Moab, UT 84532

(435) 259-9416

I am thinking of ordering tires through these guys and getting them installed on my first day in Moab so I'll have some fresh meat for the trails (going to need new rubber badly by the time I get down there!)

Oh Okay, the only reason I wanted to know about these guys is that they are a noted installer for Discount Tire Direct, so I figured it would be goo to use them and save some coin on my tires! (save about $400 on the same tires buying them in the US compared to buying them in Canada)

I first I was gonna ask why buy tires in moab but HOLY ****! 400 dollar difference is the difference between 4 tires and 5-6 depending on the size.

Typically things aren't cheaper in Moab. If they are affiliated with one of the national tire chains that may make a difference. Certainly would arrange it before I got there.

If I don't get them swapped in Moab I will certainly be stopping at a tire shop along the way.... MY BFG A/T's have no hope in hell of having enough tread for a proper Moab trip!

Chip has always been fair with me and has overnighted a tire when I ruined one. He stays busy so prearranged it and set an appointment or you may spend a morning waiting around for them to get to you.

I think F5 has dealt with Treadway, and i think they would be fine for mounting. there are a few options in town for getting tires mounted so that would not be a problem, they might be busy with jeep week but i'm sure they can fit you in. there is also a new tire shop next to the dollar store, they are across the street from the 4x4 outpost and might be hungry for business.

I had to decide between Moab and Lonestar Round Up Hot Rod Show...and we are taking Audrey (1960 Pink Rambler) to Lonestar!

Its hard to choose but vacation time doesn't allow me to do it all. Maybe we will make it back to Moab in the Fall.

Have a great time if you need a good place to stay the Morris' Last Resort (Valley cabins) are very clean, posh, and even have pillow top beds!
