Every time I see a hummer doing something great ( like you in the parade ) ,I wonder if GM thinks why did we stop making it . I like the hilift mounting . It solves the problem of low profile and theft , who what's to steal just that piece of the jack . Keep up the good work .

Thanks. I'm actually going to take it one step further and swap the M6 bolts for safety Torx that requires a very specific tool to remove. It will make it that much harder for someone to mess with it.

Followed up by adding some Quick Fists to the other rail. Also used the factory rail inserts with M6-1.00 x 40mm bolts. Now I can put anything up there like an ax, shovel, etc... If you want to leave something up there permanently, I would suggest adding something that will allow you to run a cable lock. The Quick Fists do have two holes that would allow a cable thorough it but it would only stop a quick snatch thief.

Completely stripped the truck of all stickers (except US Flag) to prep it for the Vermont Overland Trophy. I've never seen my truck completely naked!

Got some serious work in yesterday in prep for the Vermont Overland Trophy. Completely disassembled the Warn HMMWV winch and did a ton of mods/upgrades. Upgraded the wiring to 0 gauge. Makes all the difference when doing hard winching. Rotated the motor so cables are shorter too. Moved the industrial contactor to be easily accessible if it burns out and needs to be replaced. Before you would have to remove the whole winch mount like in the pic. Now only the grill. Added a HD disconnect for if there's a short and can't stop the winch.

Also swapped out the OEM alternator for a high output 250 amp one that was a straight plug and play. No need to make any custom mounts or wiring mods. Took advantage that everything was accessible to clean up some wiring. Sometime today I should receive my Odysey Extreme 31 series 2150 battery and will tackle that. Already got the tray and insulation cover. Will upgrade the he battery terminals at the same time.

Do you think that alternator is compatible with the I5, as well that extra juice is mainly with the idea of proving extra energy for when winching right, sorry if I come up broken and retorted but I ain't too knowledgeable about alternator's purpose aside from making electricity and being used to keep ur battery charge. Thanks in advance, always good to see pictures of ur truck [emoji106]

I bought it four years ago from Teaka which is no longer in business. All I do know is that it's a company in California. I'm guessing the company name is the one on the pulley.

Time to shoehorn the huge 31 series Odysey Extreme battery in the place of the tiny OEM one. Going from 650 CCA to 1150.

Cool, now we have a point of reference and how which one last longer or performs better on the trucks me with the same but the marina series, and you with the regular. [emoji106] it sure feel good dumping that big battery under the hood.

Installed power disconnect for the winch. This allows to cut off power to the winch if there's any emergency need. Made it a discrete installation behind the grill but easily accessible.

Battery's in with original tie down. Added a heat shield to the battery since it no longer sits in a box. Keeps it cool from the V8.

Just bought an M8-1.25 extender and a threaded rod in the same thread.

Went on like a glove and allowed me to use factory strap without modifying. 5 minute job.

Pretty cool. I like that extender was going to do the same but decided to use one of the Blackhawk belts I have and it worked just fine. And the heat shield does make a difference, I ran my battery without one for a week and it was hotter than it is now with the heat shield.

All packed and ready for the Vermont Overland Trophy. Everything is secured either strapped down or contained within the custom made Raingler safety nets. No loose gear in case of a roll.

In the rear, all the camping gear, food, tools and spares.

Where the rear seats used to be sits the full size 40" spare. Yes it fit through the door! The recovery gear also is stored here. That includes a PullPal, HiLift, Maxtraxxs, as well as all the Master Pull winch extension lines, snatch blocks and Super-Yanker kinetic recovery rope.
